kaitiakitanga means for a guardianship kaitiakitanga is a new zealand

maori term used for the concept of guardianship for the sky and the 

sea land a kaitiakitanga is a guardianship and the procrass and

practices protecting and looking after the environment are referred to as kaitiakitanga.

S.S otaki ceremony

On Monday Year 7 to 9s had the yearly commemoration for the SS Otaki,  the Russian people were under attack from the German people. The captains were putting flowers on the falling solidiers to remember them and what they done during this event.
Mr Fraser spoke to us about what happened and why we celebrate this event every year.
I remember when Mr Fraser told us that the Captain always went down with the ship.
I enjoyed listening to what everyone had to say and look forward to next years event.
